FYREFLY

FYREFLY

Overview

Along with two other group members, we developed a drone concept aimed to mitigate wildfire damages. FYREFLY aims to revolutionize wildfire management by prioritizing early detection and data collection through advanced sensors and algorithmic analysis. By focusing on real-time wildfire detection and delivering critical information to ground control, FYREFLY empowers stakeholders to make timely, informed decisions. Our app modifies our system in order to grant users access to the information FYREFLY collects so that the public can make accelerated, informed decisions.

Home Screen Design

I began by wire-framing my home screen, creating a low-fidelity blueprint that outlines the structure, layout, and key elements of the interface. I began with identifying user needs and primary functions, followed by mapping out navigation, content hierarchy, and interactive components. Once translated to a high-fidelity prototype, this interface provided the user with all key functions in one place.

Community and Location Features:

The community feature enables users to create and manage groups, fostering streamlined communication and collaboration. Within these groups, users can share critical information, including emergency plans and volunteer opportunities. The location feature allows users to input frequently visited or significant locations, providing effortless, one-click access to real-time wildfire status updates for each specified area.

Map Feature

The map feature allows users to monitor active wildfires in their area through real-time drone data. By hovering on individual drones displayed on the map, users can access detailed wildfire status updates, including location, severity, and radius, enabling informed decision-making and proactive responses.
